Music and The Arts Lead the Way

Throughout the first part of 2012, there have been unprecedented losses within the music and entertainment business. It has not been the mourning of a single superstar but a loss of a series of talented artists and public figures. While we adore them from afar, there are several ways that they took the lead and made us appreciate them.

First Ladies Lead The Way

Throughout history, there are numerous examples of leadership. Take for example leading first ladies, wives of American presidents. History captures their poise, contributions, and also their support for presidential figures.

But, looking closer at their contributions as leading ladies helps to shed light on their own path as leaders. With or without their men to support them, they have been examples of solid leaders. Leaders: Avoid the Brain Freeze!

At a recent Republican presidential debate, Texas Governor Rick Perry had a momentary brain freeze. As a candidate for president, he shared that he would target three federal agencies for elimination. But, then he named two and forgot the name of the third agency. Oops.
