Leaders must shift during the Coronavirus (COVID-19), one of the most significant pandemics that has manifested as an unprecedented global health crisis. While there are no specific mandates, it is a time for leaders to pivot. How this happens will depend upon circumstances for each leader.
Now is the time for leaders to focus on serving their audiences in many ways. Specifically, this might be a new way of providing services through online platforms. For others, this might be considering adding electronic or telecommunication to convey a message. And yet other leaders will need to think about to receive and process inquiries from followers and constituents.
Have you noticed how some leaders are taking the time to do more online communications in recent weeks? If you’re like anyone with an email address then you have seen an uptick in email communication about shifting services, streamlined online programs, or variations or hybrids of both. For instance, telehealth appointments have become a standard for many.
While it might seem like the timing should be carefully scripted, I subscribe that each leader can act quickly and do some targeted research about the best ways to serve your primary audiences. Don’t wait, act today. The memo is simple: Shift happens now.
