By serving others, you are having an impact. More importantly, you are leading.
Showing up to serve others can be in the way that you think of others before yourself and in the way that you have a giving heart for service to others.
It is neither a challenge nor an impediment to finding ways to help others. It can be on a regular basis or a one-time opportunity. You decide.
For me, I have found the best opportunities are often right in my neighborhood or my community. These are the ways that I can help out during a special event or serve as a helper throughout an initiative. Regardless, it means that I must think about being a servant leader and doing more by helping than thinking about what I might get in return. I find a great sense of personal pride knowing that I have made a difference.
In the coming weeks, I challenge you to think about how you can be a resource to someone else. Share what you have or know and, in turn, you will be rewarded with gratitude. Stop and think for a moment…where can you start today?
