Just like any other year, December is a good time to prepare for the coming year.
But, with the excitement and unexpected throughout 2020 it is definitely an opportunity for most people to regroup. More specifically, there are ways that we can all take stock and reflect on lessons learned. If there was one thing for certain, it was that the year was not predictable but that we had to keep on moving regardless.
There have been changes in how people get and stay connected. In-person meetings, conferences, and coffee talks. We have all had to adjust. Traditionally, we connected with each other face-to-face. Now, we must pivot to find more ways to leverage communications in an online platform. But, the one constant is that we have had to keep ourselves moving.
For me, the year 2020 has been an opportunity to rediscover and reaffirm. For instance, there have been several ways that I have been able to recommit to personal commitments and obligations with unexpected changes in my scheduled that were favorable and welcomed.
Take pause. Rather than fret about time lost and inconveniences, celebrate the ability to be progressive and proactive in adjusting to change.
