Well, it’s that time again. Election season is upon us and here we go with ongoing coverage of national and local hotly contested mid-term races. Don’t get me wrong. I’m a news junkie like the best of them flipping television channels to catch the latest late-night scores as if election coverage were the Super Bowl.

Commitment to Service

I’m convinced that there is just a standard of acceptable customer service. Going to any restaurant, grocery store, hotel, or shopping center, you come to expect reasonable standards of service.

There’s something to be said about those establishments that go the extra mile to provide quality experience. It is as if the staff anticipates needs. Sometimes they readily have your concerns handled.

Successful Leaders

Anyone can assume a leadership role. This happens through an appointment, election, or self-selection. Taking on the position does not mean that one is prepared or equipped to be an effective leader or successful. So, what does it take to be successful?

There are many ways leaders are deemed to be accomplished. Some are measured according to power, wealth, or fame achieved. On the contrary, leaders can be judged by outcomes and results. Regardless, leaders are assessed by how to they go from being ordinary Joe and Jane to transformational leaders.
