…more world leaders and the wealthiest executives to set an example for others.
While it’s the not the first time for global power-hitters made donations to the “common man”, it must continue as a trend. There should be greater personal accountability for leaders to do more to help others. Multi-millionaire Oprah Winfrey, for instance, demonstrates regularly her support for leadership development and personal enrichment. Microsoft executive Bill Gates has contributed significantly to numerous education initiatives in recent decades.
More importantly, Zuckerberg’s actions set precedent for other leadership and particularly millennials, as reported by a recent Forbes Magazine article. Only with the continued effort to help others will a trend emerge for leaders to give to others.
