In recent months, our world has witnessed leaders do the unexpected. Sometimes we agree with these decisions and other times we do not. Some leaders have gone to different landscapes, a few plateaus. Interestingly enough, whatever the circumstance or path taken it is all part of the REAL journey!
Since life is not a direct journey, I can personally appreciate the challenges that life has taken to show me that it is all about how face each day. Television news reporter Robin Roberts was diagnosed with cancer in recent years. She has not let this adversity overwhelm her. She figures that it’s better to “Be the leading lady in your own strife.” Go, Robin!
And I am reminded about the late actress and civil rights activist who once said “Make me so uncomfortable that I will do the very thing I fear.” Now, that is true courage in the face of adversity.
